Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual Italian American Heritage and Culture Month ‘Mese della Cultura Italiana’ Celebration on Thursday, October 12 at the Bronx Zoo’s Schiff Family Great Hall.
This year’s exemplary honorees were Councilman James Vacca; Frank Seddio, Esq., Brooklyn Democratic Party chairman and Seddio & Associates attorney; Maria Caruso, City Island Chamber of Commerce director of tourism and William Mayers, Maestro’s Caterers.
The Italian Heritage and Culture Committee, NY, Inc., Nancy Indelicato (l), William Russo (back, l), and Joseph Sciame (back, r) presented Borough President Diaz (c), with a plaque of Italian American Cinema and Theater Celebrities. Italian Consul General Francesco Genuardi (front, r) received a proclamation from Diaz.
