Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual African-American Heritage Celebration at the Dreiser Loop Community Center, 177 Dreiser Loop, on Thursday, February 12. At the event, Diaz honored Brooklyn district attorney Ken Thompson, community activist and urban farmer Karen Washington and late community activist Jamaal Bailey for their valuable contributions to the community and the city.
