Cardinal Timothy M. Dolan celebrated Mass with 450 students and faculty of St. Clare of Assisi Church on Thursday, February 25. The school choir sang during the Mass, and students prayed in English, Albanian, Spanish and Italian. The mass was concelebrated by Fr. Robert Aufieri, pastor of St.Clare of Assisi Church, Fr. Salvator De Stefano, Parochial Vicar, and part-time associate Fr. Daniel Fitzpatrick, SJ and Fr. Patrick Sullivan, SJ. To conclude Mass, the Cardinal marched around the block from the church to the newly dedicated Fr. Vincent Taglienti Center at 1925 Hone Avenue, flanked by students and children. The Chapel of the Center will now serve as a Center of Prayer for Catholic School and Religious Education students and parishioners.
