Calvary Hospital honored 15-year veteran, Patrice Cashen, registered nurse, with the prestigious 2016 Meviar Smith Humanitarian Award on Monday, March 14. This award, which has been bestowed since 1988, was created to honor long-time employee, Meviar Smith, who passed away in 1987. Smith was renowned for her loyalty, conscientious work ethic and dedication to Calvary Hospital’s patients which this year’s selection committee believed Cashen best embodied.
