The Bronx Chamber of Commerce commemorated Women’s History Month at its annual Women of Distinction Luncheon on Friday, March 31 at Villa Barone Manor.
The event honoring trailblazing women in labor and business saluted Venecia Fernandez, Office of NYS Comptroller DiNapoli’s Bronx borough director; Tamara Rivera, NYC District Council of Carpenters council representative and Nancy Rosario-Rodriguez, Fordham University Graduate School of Education assistant director of Center for Educational Partnership.
The Chamber also honored female high school students from across the borough with scholarships for outstanding scholastic performance made possible through Con Edison, Metro Optics and Hutch Metro Center.
