The event, hosted by City and State Magazine and Kasirer Consulting, celebrated the notable achievements and contributions made by women across the public, private and nonprofit sectors of New York State. It brought together several influential women who have helped shape the political, social and economic landscapes of New York.

As the first female president of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, Sorin is a trailblazer for women in business in leadership. She has played a key role in advocating for businesses and fostering economic growth in the Bronx.

“I am deeply honored to be recognized alongside such an inspiring group of women,” Sorin said. “This award reflects not only my work but the collective strength and dedication of women throughout New York State who are making meaningful change every day. The Bronx Chamber of Commerce is committed to advocating for the needs of local businesses, and I will continue to champion the growth and success of our borough’s entrepreneurial spirit.”
Prior to being appointed president of the Bronx Chamber of Commerce, Sorin was an active member of the organization’s executive board. She also founded the Bronx Chamber of Commerce Scholarship Program, which provides awards for female students at high schools across the Bronx each year during Women’s History Month.
