Bronx Borough President Vanessa L. Gibson debuted her first-ever Winter Holiday Concert in the Rotunda of Bronx Borough Hall, located at 851 Grand Concourse, on Wednesday, Dec. 18, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
The concert, titled “Tis the Season,” featured a performance from over 200 K-5 students from the Family Life Academy Charter School II, located at 296 E. 140th St. in the Mott Haven neighborhood of the Bronx. The students sand holiday hits, including “Joy to the World,” “Sleigh Ride,” “Holidays, “Light of Kwanzaa,” “Ready, Steady Go Now!,” “Mele Kalikimaka” and more.
The celebration of goodwill and cheer brought together over 300 attendees, including parents, relatives, and caregivers of the students, along with Family Life Academy Charter School II Principal Valerie Marchionno, Assistant Principal Mariela Alberto, and Music Director Nicholas Diaz.
