In celebration of World Breastfeeding Week, NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi held a “Latch On” educational resource event on Wednesday, Aug. 7.
Dozens of families were able to take part in a “Mom and Baby Photoshoot,” raffles and educational demonstrations. They also received giveaways and took advantage of the resources on hand promoting successful breastfeeding methods.
NYC Health + Hospitals/Jacobi has earned what’s known as a “Baby-Friendly” designation from Baby Friendly USA. The hospital received the designation for promoting the highest level of care for infants through breastfeeding, as well as promoting bonding between mothers and their babies.
