Beth Abraham Center, the 448-bed nursing home and rehabilitation facility on Allerton Avenue and Bronx Park East, has introduced a brand new sensory program designed to help stimulate the senses for low functioning residents with dementia or other memory related issues. These particular residents have, over time, begin to lose a fair amount of their key senses, such as smell, taste, sight, hear and touch and this program hones in on those areas the patient can mostly benefit from by adding real world products that the residents can get re-acquainted with.
