The following birth announcements were sent to the paper from a local hospital:

•Elijah Jonathan Klein was born on Saturday, May 21 to Julinette Klein and Robert James Klein of Locust Point. The baby boy weighed seven pounds and five ounces.

August Jubilee Stewart was born to Rebecca Thompson-Stewart and Coran Stewart of Woodlawn on Tuesday, May 17. Baby was six pounds and ten ounces.

•Annalise Sofia Gonzalez came into the world to parents Benita and Francisco of Baychester on Friday, May 13.

•Olivia Rose Gomez was born to Raul Gomez and Meriam Diaz-Gomez on Tuesday, May 10. She was seven pounds and six ounces.

•Andre Cairo Randall was born on Monday, May 9 to parents Zion Smith and Andre Randall of Williamsbridge.

Olympian at Commencement

Yvonne Harrison, former Lehman High School student athlete and a 2004 Olympian, was the commencement speaker at the high school’s graduation on Tuesday, June 28.

She was invited to speak by her former physical education teacher Debra Vance.
