Happy Anniversary
August and Frances Magnotta celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary aboard the Carnival ‘Glory’ cruise ship on Sunday, January 22.
The staff were kind enough to have a cake and sing to us.
During these 61 wonderful years, we were so blessed to have two children, six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Happy 100th Birthday
Happy 100th Birthday to Maria Carolina Aversa Magistro on Thursday, March 2.
She was a secretary at Popular Science Magazine and for Reeves Brothers, Inc.
She married Louis Magistro in 1943 and had children Theresa and Nancy Ann.
She is the grandmother to five girls: Donna, Angela, Michelle, Luisa and Niki.
She is the great grandmother to six great grandchildren ranging in age from 18 months to 20-years-old.
According to her family: Mary attributes her healthy longevity to a lifelong Mediterranean diet coupled with plenty of walking.
She spends her time playing Bingo, doing arts and crafts, reading the New York Times and Bronx Times Reporter, as well as socializing with her good friends at Fort Schuyler House in Throggs Neck.
