Nineteen students from the Archdiocese of New York’s Bronx regional and parish schools competed in the Bronx’s inaugural Speech Bee on Wednesday, December 6 at St. Raymond Elementary School.
The bee challenged fifth through eighth grade competitors to deliver a short speech from memory on previously provided, relevant societal topics such as sustainable development, bees, family, should the president be paid while being in office and social media.
