Police are investigating a two-car collision at the Bruckner Expressway.

According to 43rd Precinct police, police officers responded to a two-car motor vehicle accident at eastbound Bruckner Expressway near Castle Hill Avenue on Monday, April 29 at 2:55 p.m.

A preliminary investigation by NYPD’s Highway Collision Investigation Squad determined that a 54-year-old woman operating a 2012 Nissan was traveling eastbound in the left lane on Bruckner Expressway as she was approaching the Castle Hill Avenue Exit when a 29-year-old man operating a 2016 Nissan also traveling eastbound in the center lane on Bruckner Expressway, changed lanes moving into the left lane passing the 2012 Nissan.

The 2012 Nissan’s driver lost control striking the center median, subsequently overturning before coming to a final rest.

The 2016 Nissan spun into a median before coming to a final rest.

EMS responded to the location and transported a 54-year-old male passenger in the 2012 Nissan and the 2016 Nissan’s driver to Jacobi Medical Center in stable conditions.

No arrests or summonses were issued in this ongoing investigation.
