The Northwest Bronx Community and Clergy Coalition held its ‘Forty y Fuerte’ 40th Anniversary Gala on Friday, October 30 at Fordham University’s McGinley Center Ballroom to highlight its last four decades worth of accomplishments as well as pay tribute to remarkable community leaders. This year’s honorees included Councilman Ritchie Torres, Jim Buckley of University Neighborhood Housing Program, former director of Sistas and Brothas United Fernando Carlo and former NWBCCC board president Joyce Davis.
