The 22nd Community Walkathon & Health Fair took place at P.S. 121 on Thursday, October 24.
Honorees for the event included Montefiore Health System board of trustees chairman James Butler, recipient of the ‘Distinguished Community Service Award’, as well as Dr. Neil Cobelli, Laura Guerriero, Toni Hayes, Lisa Sorin and Veronica DeJesus, who were each recipients of the ‘Excellence in Community Service Award’.
The event featured activities for both kids and adults, including diabetes and obesity screening, blood pressure, BMI checks and flu shots, healthy snacks, games and quizzes.
