As the season of giving soon approaches, more than 140 Villa Maria Academy students participated in Operation Christmas Child at their school to help those less fortunate this holiday season on Wednesday, November 11. A gift packing party was held at the school where students filled shoeboxes with toiletries, toys, clothes and candy which the organization ships to children living in poverty in different parts of the world. Villa students from grades 1st through 4th filled more than 400 shoeboxes with over 4,000 items during the annual charity service.

Villa Maria Academy 4th grader, Maeve Ryan, was instrumental in introducing the annual charity event to her school.
