NYC Schools Chancellor Carmen Farina visited Urban Scholars Community School on Wednesday, March 1 to announce a NYC Department of Education partnership with the Book Trust program, a national literacy program that will serve 4,700 elementary school students at 12 renewal schools across the city.

Book Trust allows children from low-income families to choose and purchase their own books throughout the academic year.
