The U.S.N.S. Yuma, the latest addition to the U.S. Navy’s Military Sealift Command, was docked outside SUNY Maritime College during Fleet Week.
The Yuma, a 338-foot long aluminum catamaran designed for speed and maneuverability, also has a 20,000 square foot mission bay area which can be reconfigured to carry portable hospitals, disaster relief items, tanks and troops.
