On Sunday, November 20, the Theodore Korony American Legion Post 253 Cathy Praino presented members Colleen McCarthy and Judy Lanci a coin from Colonel Thompson in Afghanistan in thanks for the post’s hard work in sending care packages to troops overseas.
Colonel Thompson also sent Praino a certificate, photograph of the platoon and an American flag which flew over the post headquarters in Afghanistan.
