Tree Uprooted By Storm Causes Damage

The massive tree was no match for last Friday’s heavy rain and strong winds.

Last Friday’s violent rain storm caused some damage in Van Nest. Heavy rain and strong winds uprooted a tree on Friday, March 31 at 10:45 p.m. which resulted in damage to several vehicles parked on Garfield Street between Van Nest Avenue and Mead Street. No injuries were reported from the incident. The street was sealed off until the tree was properly removed. Photo by Edwin Soto
