Town hall meeting held by Klein, political leaders

Senator Jeff Klein, along with Assemblyman Jeffrey Dinowitz and Councilman Andrew Cohen, held a Senior Rent Increase Exemption, Disability Rent Increase Exemption and Elderly Pharmaceutical Insurance Coverage town hall meeting at Riverdale Neighborhood House on Monday, June 29. At the meeting, which was attended by the NYC Department of Health and Department of Finance, seniors and individuals with disabilities were able to check their eligibility and sign up for the SCRIE, DRIE and EPIC programs. Klein will hold a series of town hall meetings this summer to increase awareness of NYC rent freeze programs and prescription drug discounts for seniors.
