These are the 157 Bronxites that were killed because ‘some people did something’ on Tuesday, September 11, 2001. Roughly 5% of the total 2, 977 people killed by the worst act of terrorism on U.S., let alone New York City soil.

Representative Ilhan Omar and her apologist Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, denoting the attacks of September 11th into ‘some people did something’ is simply unacceptable.

Our publication lost staff that day; everyone in this city lost or knows someone who was lost that day.

To be clear, this is not about policy, this is about respect.

The respect owed to everyone that was heinously murdered heading into work on a Tuesday morning in New York City and those that were lost at the Pentagon or in a field in Pennsylvania for no sensible reason.

It’s easy to say that ‘some people did something’ in a room of benefactors, how about we up the ante and you say it to a first responder from our borough?

The Bronx Times Reporter would be happy to arrange.
