The Throggs Neck Merchants Association recognized two community figures on Monday, July 20 who were instrumental in TNMA’s annual street fair this past May. The merchants awarded certificates of appreciation to both Rite Aid’s store manager Rony Matli and John Marano, Community Board 10 vice chairman, for their help with this event. Matli was presented an award on behalf of the store for allowing Rite Aid’s parking lot to be utilized for street fair activities and Marano was honored for his help in securing a rock climbing wall, one of the event’s most popular attractions.
