Three suspects sought for attempting to steal man’s ring at gunpoint in Allerton: NYPD

The NYPD is searching for three suspects who allegedly attempted to steal a ring from a man in Allerton earlier this month.

Police from the 49th Precinct say that the three male suspects entered 2859 Barker Ave. at approximately 11:23 a.m. on March 16 and approached a 50-year-old man. One of the suspects displayed a black gun while another attempted to take the 50-year-old man’s ring, according to authorities.

However, the suspect was unsuccessful and the trio fled the scene in an unknown direction, police said.

There were no injuries reported as a result of the attempted robbery.

Police on March 22 released descriptions of the suspects.

One suspect, who is approximately 20 to 30 years old, has a dark complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and white sneakers.

The second suspect is between the ages of 18 and 25 and has a light complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a face mask, dark clothing and white sneakers.

The third suspect is believed to be approximately 25 to 30 years old and has a dark complexion and slim build. He was last seen wearing a black hat, dark colored vest, white shirt, light colored pants and multicolored sneakers.
