It appears chivalry in the Bronx is dead as a man attacked and stabbed a woman at a borough subway station last week.

According to the NYPD, on Nov. 17, two women, aged 28 and 30, got into an argument with a man inside of the Jackson Avenue “2/5” subway station. However, the situation escalated as the man pulled out a knife and stabbed the 30-year-old woman in the back. The assailant fled the scene inside of a northbound “5” train. EMS transported the woman to an area hospital in stable condition.

The individual is described as a male, 20-30 years old; last seen wearing dark-colored clothing.
