Serving In The U.S. Navy
A resident of the borough is serving her country in the U.S. Navy. Charlene Aviles, is a personnel specialist 3rd class in the U.S. Navy.
She is seen in the photo on this page standing watch aboard the guided-missile destroyer U.S.S. Porter as the ship made its way through the Skagerrak Strait in Scandinavia on Sunday, January 20.
The U.S.S. Porter is based in Rota, Spain and serves U.S. national security interests in Europe and Africa.
