If you’ve gawked at 25 Bruckner Boulevard while driving on the Major Deegan Expressway, you aren’t alone.
Called The Crescendo, the glass-clad building is bringing true upscale residency to the vibrant corridor of the Mott Haven between Alexander and Lincoln avenues since it’s leasing office opened in November of 2017.
The formerly vacant L-shaped property took its design inspiration from the area’s once prosperous history of piano manufacturing.
The luxury complex is split into two separate six-story buildings connected by a magnificent courtyard for residents that includes an outdoor lounge space, complete with a fully-equipped barbequing area.
The Legato, which sits on the East 134th Street side of the complex, is the larger of the parts of the Crescendo with 108 units. Opposite to that on Bruckner Boulevard stands the Staccato, which offers 22 units.
Connected to The Crescendo at 112 Lincoln Avenue is the popular Clock Tower Building.
The turn-of -the-century six-story red brick, mixed use building is technically not part of 25 Bruckner, although its residents have access to The Crescendo’s lavish amenities, including onsite parking.
Just what are those amenities?
After passing through its gorgeous and tall standing lobbies, a corridor leads to the extravagant artificially green courtyard with patio space for residents.
Next to that is the lounge which luxurious seating, a billiards table and access to the building’s indoor pool, hot tub and fitness center.
There’s also a children’s playroom on the ground floor in addition to a luxurious spa and yoga room.
If that wasn’t enough, the easily accessible, fully decked roof boasts skyline views of Manhattan for the ages.
The luxury studio units start at $2,350, averaging 580 square feet, one-bedroom units at $2, 550 with 605-647 square feet, two bedroom units at $2,900 measuring 970 to 1,300 square feet, and 3-bedroom units at $3,150 with approximately 1,600 average square feet of space.
Each unit is different and unique,” said Naomi Eisenberg, a leasing manager for The Crescendo. “They’re each unique because one unit features what another one doesn’t,” she added.
Some of the units have balconies while those on the ground level have patios.
The project is close to completely leased, with 95% of the building currently occupied. So hurry up if you’re looking to land one of the remaining units.
One of the few open units is on the ground level in the Staccato.
It’s a two-bedroom, two-bath unit that faces Bruckner Boulevard, featuring stainless steel appliances, generous closet space, hard wood floors and many more enticing amenities.
Eisenberg said The Crescendo’s proximity to Manhattan has generated an interest that appeals to a wide spectrum of clients.
“Just like the units, each tenant we have is very diverse. We have lawyers, big business people, teachers and more. I’ve made a lot of friends here,” she said while mentioning her involvement in tenant relations.
Although The Crescendo is not planning to convert any units into coops, it is converting the south Bronx into a hot destination for all of New York City.
