To commemorate the opening of the next 10 NYC Soccer Initiative mini-pitches, New York City Football Club, the Mayor’s Fund to Advance NYC, the U.S. Soccer Foundation, Adidas and Etihad Airways hosted a ‘Soccer Day’ throughout the five boroughs on Monday, October 15. An official ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at a Bronx pitch site shared by Hostos-Lincoln Academy of Science, P.S. 10, I.S. 584 and University Prep Charter High School.
First Lady McCray (c) joined New York City Football Club members and students in cutting the ribbon for the field.
