In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the New York Botanical Garden hosted its Fiesta de Flores, a festival commemorating the people of Latin America and the Caribbean, on Wednesday, September 19.

This year’s festivities included guided tours of the Peggy Rockefeller Rose Garden; live music performed by YeraSon and BombaYo; live art created by Juan Carlos Suazo, Giannina Gutierrez and Marthalicia Matarrita DeColores; a floral painting workshop led by Sandra Rivera; delicious cuisine and beverages provided by Beatstro, Bronx Drafthouse, Havana Café, Just Jazzy Cakes 212, Pollo Campero and Port Morris Distillery and merchandise provided by Old-Earth Creates by Nanette Sanchez-Velasquez, Olga Ayala Handicrafts (Hecho a Mano)-Functional Art in Polymer and Terramax Entertainment.
