It was rainy and dreary outside of the Apollo Theater on Thursday, May 17, but there was sunhine inside with all of the happy, smiling faces of more than 1,000 school children from Brooklyn, Manhattan, Bronx and Queens, who all participated in the School Choruses program of the Young People’s Chorus of New York City. The students were eager to take to the stage to perform the songs from their Red Light, Green Light YPC music curriculum, which they had been perfecting all season long.

Boys and girls from P.S. 69 led by their YPC conductor Gia Gan performed Andrew Lloyd Webber’s ‘Macavity the Mystery Cat’ from the classic Broadway musical ‘Cats.’
