The 45th Precinct Community Council saluted local leaders and police officers at its annual breakfast gala and awards ceremony on Wednesday, May 9 at Villa Barone Manor. This year’s honored civilians included Michael McNerney, Country Club Civic Association president; Michelle Torrioni, Pelham Bay Taxpayers and Community Association president; Fred Ramftl, City Island Civic Association vice-president; Junius Williams, Riverbay Public Safety Committee director; former councilman James Vacca and Bill Mahoney, Edgewater Park Security Committee chairman.Captain Carlos Ghonz, 45th Precinct commanding officer, formally recognized the 45th Precinct’s police officers Gregg Albaum , Mario Rodriguez and Jason Williams and detective second grade Michael Conner.
