Thursday, March 26 at 4:30 p.m. — Cops got a report to police of a grand larceny that occurred inside a wireless phone store at 1464 Unionport Road. Three unidentified men entered the store and approached an employee to speak to him about a camera on a cellular telephone. When the employee proceeded to show the features of the phone, the first individual removed the cellular phone from hand and all three of the individuals then fled on foot on McGraw Avenue. The purloined phone has a value of approximately $600. Two of the individuals are described as black men in their late teens, one of whom is about five feet, eight inches tall. The third is an Hispanic man in his late teens.

45 Precinct

Wednesday, April 4 at 10:27 a.m. — A traffic collision claimed the life of an electrical worker who was making a repair alongside the Hutchinson River Parkway. Cops responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on the southbound roadway of the parkway near exit 4N. Responding officers found the victim, identified as a 57-year-old man who was a NYC Department of Transportation electrician, with trauma to his head. The struck man was taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead. The driver that struck him, a 62-year-old man, stayed at scene. He told police that he lost control and struck a pedestrian on the right shoulder of the parkway.

46 Precinct

Tuesday, March 27 at 2:55 p.m. — Cops responded to an assault inside of a liquor store located at 99 Featherbed Lane. A 33-year-old man was assaulted after an unidentified man was asked to leave the store because he seemed to exhibit disorderly behavior. The unidentified man fled the location towards University Avenue. EMS responded and took the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital, where he was treated for minor injuries. The person is described a black man who is about 35-years-old and is five feet, nine inches tall. He was about 250 pounds and was last seen wearing dark clothing.

47 Precinct

Wednesday, March 28 at 2:45 a.m. — Cops got a report concerning the burglary of a pharmacy at 4008 Boston Road by an unknown man. The individual, described as a black man, broke a hole through the roof of an adjacent supermarket before breaking through a wall and entering the pharmacy next door. Once inside, about $300 was taken.
