Sunday, October 8 at 6:09 p.m. — Cops received a report of a robbery near Third Avenue and Claremont Parkway. A 64-year-old woman was approached from behind by a person who pushed the victim to the ground and attempted to steal her handbag. The victim was able to hold onto the purse and the individual fled. He is described as a black man in his late teens or early 20s with a thin build.

46 Precinct

Friday, October 13 at 12:40 p.m — Cops responded to a 911 call of a victim in need of help at an apartment building near East 238th Street and Kepler Avenue. Once inside, police officers found a 26-year-old man who was not responsive. He had stab wounds to his body. He was taken via EMS to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

48 Precinct

Sunday, October 8 at 12:09 p.m. — An assault was reported to police as taken place in front of 444 E. 187th Street. A 19-year-old man was approached as he was sitting in a car by someone he had been involved in a verbal dispute one day earlier. The individual shot two rounds at the 19-year-old, but he was not injured. The individual is described as a black man who is five feet, ten inches tall, about 180 pounds and between 21-years-old and 27-years-old.

Sunday, October 1 at 10:52 p.m.– Cops responded to 911 call and a Shotspotter alert for a shooting at 2355 Williamsbridge Road. They found a 41-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his torso and left arm. EMS took him to Jacobi Medical Center where he eventually died the next day. An arrest has been made.
