40 Precinct

Wednesday, November 2 at 12:55 p.m. — Police received a 911 call of a woman assaulted in front of 421 E. 154th Street. Upon arrival, police officers found a 45-year-old woman with a gunshot wound to the torso. Emergency Medical Service brought the victim to Lincoln Hospital where she was pronounced dead.

42 Precinct

Monday, October 24 at 8:30 a.m. — Cops got a report of an unidentified man who approached and robbed a 16-year-old man in front of 495 E. 166th Street. The police are looking for a black man who is about five feet, nine inches tall. The person sought pushed the victim up against a gate and forcibly took his cell phone before fleeing on foot.

43 Precinct

Tuesday, November 1 at 10:40 p.m. — Police responded to a 911 call of man stabbed in the Monroe Houses at 810 Soundview Avenue. They arrived on the scene and found a 25-year-old man with stab wounds to his torso. EMS also responded to the location and transported a man to Jacobi Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

45 Precinct

Tuesday, November 1 at 5:35 p.m. — The police responded to a 911 call reporting an emergency with an emotionally disturbed man armed with a knife in front of 1840 Mayflower Avenue. Three uniformed officers and a sergeant arrived on the scene and confronted the suspect, a 49-year-old man, who was threatening them with a glass bottle. The sergeant discharged his Taser, a kind of conductive energy device, to stun the victim, who was then taken into custody. While in custody, police say the suspect appeared to go into cardiac arrest. CPR was given at the scene by cops and the man was subsequently transported by ambulance to Einstein Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 7:22 p.m.

48 Precinct

Wednesday, November 2 at 1:19 a.m. — A 25-year-old woman was the victim of a shooting inside of a lounge at 400 E. 180th Street. She was shot in the back by an unidentified man. The victim was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where she was in stable condition shortly after the incident. There were no other injuries reported. The person sought is described as a black man with a beard.
