Senator Jeff Klein provided over 100 seniors the chance to sign-up for Senior Citizen Rent Increase Exemption, a rent freeze program, and a variety of health services on Wednesday, November 2 at the Northeast Bronx Senior Center.
Attendees met with SCRIE benefit specialists to see if they were eligible for a rent freeze.
Klein secured $150,000 in funding for LiveOn NY in an effort to guide seniors through the application process and receive assistance in filling out paperwork.
