NYC Health & Hospitals announced the first births of the new year at its two Bronx facilities. The first baby of 2016 was Emma Singh, a baby girl born at 12:13 a.m. at North Central Bronx to Ravina and Chaitram Singh, Norwood natives. Little Emma was born 6 pounds, 12 ounces and 20 inches long. Baby boy Jesaiah O’Neil Riviere was born at 6:26 a.m. on New Year’s Day and was the first baby of the new year born at Jacobi. Jesaiah was born 8 pounds, 6 ounces, and 21.25 inches long to parents Sean and Jesma Riviere, who reside in Wakefield.

Both mamas were feeling well and excited to return home after giving birth.
