Our Lady of the Assumption School first graders celebrated Mardi Grass on Thursday, February 12. The students wore festive masks and had noisemakers at the event. Mardi Gras is a celebration related to the Christian religious traditions of Shrove Tuesday, the last day before Ash Wednesday and the beginning of Lent, a time of repentance and reflection.
