A couple of days before New Year’s Eve and everyone wants to look good — barbershops and salons are jam packed. So, when four men walked into a barbershop in Soundview no one thought things would turn sour.
But on Dec. 29, 2021, the four males strolled into the shop, located at 1221 White Plains Road, pulled out guns and demanded jewelry and money from the customers and barbers.
They stole $300 and a neck chain valued at $2,000 from a 47-year-old barber, and an iPhone 11 Pro Max, wallet and keys from a 30-year-old customer. The unidentified males then fled, two on foot and two on bicycles. There were no shots fired and the victims were not injured.
