Senator Jose Serrano honored the New York Foundling’s Mott Haven Academy charter school students Sarai Bazan and Nyla Jones for their victory in the school’s 2016 Earth Day Poster Contest on Wednesday, June 22. The budding artists’ creative work best embodied the contest’s theme of ‘reduce, reuse, recycle’ by re-purposing such materials as cloth and plastic clothes hangers.
