Serious car crash leaves one man dead on Jerome Avenue

On Friday, January 9, a male driving southbound on Jerome Ave at about 9:30 to 10 p.m. lost control of his vehicle, slamming and wrapping it around an el pillar. The man was removed to a local hospital via EMS where he was pronounced dead. NYPD Highway Patrol officers were investigating the scene in an effort to re-construct the events. The cause of the accident is under investigation.
