On Tuesday, December 5 Assembleyman Luis Sepúlveda announced new legislation to protect those under the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA).
The new legislation would prohibit the NYS Department of Motor Vehicles from suspending, cancelling, or rescinding driver’s licenses of youth under DACA in New York.
The DACA program is expected to expire March 2018.
