Red Cross ‘Sound The Alarm’

The American Red Cross kicked-off ‘Sound the Alarm. Save a Life,’ a nationwide three-week fire safety push on Saturday, April 28 at Yankee Stadium. The Red Cross installed 813 smoke alarms in the Bronx on Saturday’s event. This year’s Bronx champions are Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr.; Congressman Jose Serrano; Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie; assembly members Michael Blake, Marcos Crespo, Latoya Joyner and Jeffrey Dinowitz; senators Gustavo Rivera, Jose Serrano and Jamaal Bailey and council members Vanessa Gibson, Rafael Salamanca, Ritchie Torres, Fernando Cabrera, Ruben Diaz, Sr., Andy King and Andrew Cohen.
