-The following are crime reports and arrests filed by the NYPD’s police precincts in the Bronx.
40th Precinct

— On Wednesday, Jan. 11 at approximately 6:15 a.m., an unknown male used a key to enter a closed Taco Bell restaurant located at 450 E. 149 St.. Once inside, the individual removed cash register drawers containing approximately $2,000 and placed them inside of a garbage bag. The individual then fled the location on foot.
41st Precinct
— The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection to two forcible touching incidents which occurred within the confines of the 41st Precinct.
On Sunday, Feb. 5, at approximately 1:50 p.m. a 33-year-old female, was walking in the vicinity of Westchester Avenue and Tiffany Street when an unknown male individual approached from behind and struck her buttocks with his hand. The individual then fled on foot northbound toward Westchester Avenue. The victim sustained swelling and bruises as a result of the incident.
Later that day, another female, whose age is unknown, was walking outside of 975 Tiffany St. when an unknown male approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks with his hand. The individual then fled on foot. The victim sustained swelling and bruises as a result of the incident.
42nd Precinct
— On Feb. 21, Aaron Rene, 30, was arrested in connection with a Feb. 7 homicide that occurred at the intersection of Park Avenue and East 167 Street.
On the date, at 8:52 a.m., police responded to a 911 call of shots fired. Upon arrival, officers observed a 31-year-old male, identified as Marquis Lane, unconscious and unresponsive with a gunshot wound to the chest. EMS responded and transported the aided male to NYC Health and Hospitals/Lincoln where Lane was pronounced deceased.
Rene has been charged with murder, manslaughter and criminal possession of a weapon.
43rd Precinct
— It was reported to police that Derek Paulino, a 23-year-old male, was last seen on Saturday, Feb. 25, at approximately 11:30 p.m., leaving his residence at 312 Castle Hill Ave.
Paulino is described as being 5’7″ tall, weighing 130 pounds, with black, curly hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black jacket, burgundy pants and black sneakers.
44th Precinct

— The NYPD is seeking two individuals who are wanted for questioning in connection to a reckless endangerment incident that occurred on Friday, Feb. 17.
At approximately 3 p.m., the individuals discharged firearms at 1475 Sheridan Ave. No injuries were reported.
— On Saturday, Feb. 25, at approximately 10:58 p.m., police responded to a 911 call of an assault at 1305 Sheridan Ave.
Upon arrival officers observed a 29-year-old male with a gun shot wound to the chest and head. The victim was transported by EMS to NYC Health + Hospitals/ Lincoln where he was pronounced deceased. There have been no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing. The victim has not been identified, pending notification of family.

— On Monday, Feb, 13, at approximately 10 a.m., a 37-year-old male victim was engaged in a dispute with another male inside of 855 Gerard Ave. The unidentified male approached the victim while displaying a saw blade and a bike chain and proceeded to strike the victim in the back with the chain before fleeing. The victim refused medical attention.
47th Precinct

— At 4:15 a.m. on Feb. 8, two unknown male individuals entered the Mobil gas station located at 1945 Bartow Ave. and forced their way behind the store counter. One of the individuals held the 46-year-old male employee’s arms while the other individual removed approximately $1,200 from the cash register. The individuals fled on foot. There were no reported injuries as a result of this incident.

Both individuals are described as males, with a dark complexion and approximately 5’6” in height. One individual was last seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants and black sneakers. The other was seen wearing a blue bubble jacket, light colored pants and a white face mask.
48th Precinct
— On Sunday, Feb. 26, at approximately 1:24 p.m. police responded to a 911 call of shots fired at the intersection of Bathgate Avenue and East 183 Street.
Upon arrival, officers observed a 25-year-old male, unconscious and unresponsive, with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS responded and transported the aided male to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. There are no arrests and the investigation remains ongoing at this time.
The deceased was identified as Achilles Baskin of Webster Avenue.
49th Precinct
— On Saturday, Feb. 18, at approximately 11:40 p.m., two groups discharged firearms at each other in front of 2984 Holland Ave. A 19-year-old male victim was struck by gunfire in the back and was transported by EMS to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. The unknown individuals fled on foot.
