40th PCT.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 1:55 a.m. – Willis Ave. and East 144 St. Alert police officers arrested five persons as they recovered another unlicensed handgun. This time recovered by authorities and vouched was a 9-mm pistol.

MON, SEPT. 7th, 2:40 p.m. – 824 East 161 St. A 22 year old black male was shot in the right calf. The victim was removed to Lincoln Medical Center as additional police officers were dispatched into the area. A follow-up inquiry is underway by local sleuths.

TUES, SEPT. 8th, 3:45 p.m. – 322 East 141 St. A search was conducted for a black male. The culprit posing as a Con Edison worker invaded a home. Once inside the home, the thief at gunpoint removed a laptop computer, an unknown amount of money, besides a cell phone. The occupant escaped injury.

SAT, SEPT. 12th,, 4:30 p.m. – Willis Ave. and East 138 St. Authorities are looking into an attack that sent a 23 year old Hispanic male to Lincoln Medical Center. The man had been stabbed in the back officials indicated. Local sleuths will handle the follow-up inquiry.

41st PCT.

SUN, SEPT. 6th, 1:20 a.m. – Intervale Ave. and East 163 St. Three more suspects were arrested by police officers who vouched a 45-caliber pistol afterwards. The handgun will be used in upcoming court appearances.

WED, SEPT. 9th, 10:20 p.m. – Lafayette Ave. and Manida St. A Hispanic teenager was arrested after he was found in possession of a handgun. Recovered by police was a 38-caliber pistol.

42nd PCT.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 2:50 a.m. – 1330 Webster Ave. A suspect was arrested after being found with a semi-automatic pistol. Upon checking the arresting police officer learned that the 9-mm pistol was not licensed nor did the holder have a carry permit for a gun.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 8:35 p.m. – 1738 Crotona Park East. A 21 year old man can be spending the next year in jail. He was nabbed by local police while in possession of a 22-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

SUN, SEPT. 6th, 9:50 p.m. – 1561 Vyse Ave. The staff at St. Barnabas Hospital treated a 37 year old Hispanic male. The man was suffering from a stab wound to the chest area when he arrived at the emergency room. Local detectives will handle the inquiry.

SUN, SEPT. 13th, 7:00 p.m. – Crotona Park East. A 21 year old black male was taken into custody after he was found with a gun. Taken off of the young man was a 22-caliber revolver by members of the Bronx Gang Unit.

43rd PCT.

MON, SEPT. 7th, 10:15 p.m. – Thieriot and Story Aves. Police officers were notified that a 35 year old black male had been shot. The shooting victim walked into Einstein Hospital seeking medical help for a bullet wound to the left leg. Police were summoned, information obtained about the incident, and now detectives will conduct the follow-up inquiry.

WED, SEPT. 9th,, 8:20 p.m. – 1260 Morrison Ave. Police officials looking into a report that shots had been fired found a victim of the weapon discharge. A male was found suffering from a bullet wound to the arm. The man was taken to a nearby medical facility as investigators arrested and booked a suspect. Recovered by officers was evidence at the scene besides a 40-caliber gun.

FRI, SEPT. 11th, 4:45 a.m. – Westchester Ave. and Wheeler Ave. A male victim of a shooting was transported to Jacobi Medical Center. Responding police officers assisted the unidentified victim who was suffering from a bullet wound to the left arm. Local detectives will handle the inquiry.

SUN, SEPT. 13th, 6:00 a.m. – 2352 Newbold Ave. The emergency room staff at Jacobi Medical Center came to the aid of a teenage boy. The 19 year old Hispanic male was assaulted by an unknown person whom used a bat.

SUN, SEPT. 13th, 10:05 p.m. – 2049 McGraw Ave. A suspect was nabbed in the Parkchester area while in possession of an unregistered weapon. Taken from the suspect was a 380-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

44th PCT.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 5:00 a.m. – 1237 Jerome Ave. A 25 year old Hispanic male was reported in serious condition after being shot. The victim was shot four times in the back at a “BP” gas station. Local detectives are handling the inquiry.

MON, SEPT. 7th, 4:15 p.m. – Detectives are searching for the person who sexually attacked a teenage girl. The 19 year old victim was interviewed by detectives concerning the sexually attack.

WED, SEPT. 9th, 5:05 p.m. – 315 East 167 St. Police took a man in his late sixty’s into custody after he was found in possession of a 22-caliber pistol. The 68 year old man failed to produce a permit for the handgun.

WED, SEPT. 9th, 10:35 p.m. – East 169 St. and Grand Concourse. A 31 year old black male was arrested in the Morrisiana community for possessing an unregistered gun. The culprit was in possession of a 32-caliber pistol when he was arrested. The handgun was vouched for future court use.

FRI, SEPT. 11th, 2:55 p.m. – 1280 Sheridan Ave. Authorities are looking into the possible abuse of a four-month old baby boy. The infant was transported to Montifiore Hospital where it was determined that the young child was suffering from a fracture skull.

FRI, SEPT. 11th, 9:50 p.m. – 1166 Gerard Ave. A 24 year old male was arrested as police officers vouched a 20-gague shotgun. The Hispanic suspect could be facing a year in jail if found guilty of criminal possession of a weapon.

45th PCT.

MON, SEPT. 7th, 3:50 p.m. – Goose Island – Hutchinson River. Emergency units were alerted that an accident occurred between two jet skies. The collision between two mini-marine vehicles eventually claiming the life of a Hispanic male and seriously injuring a Hispanic woman. First rescue craft to find the four injured persons on Goose Island, just west of the Amtrak Railroad Bridge in Eastchester Bay was one of vessels belonging to Tow Boat U.S. from City Island. A Police Aviation unit flew into the area to help along with marine assets from both the Fire Dept., and the Police Dept. besides the Coast Guard. Land fire crews had to wait for marine vessels to arrive so that they could be transported to the tiny island that was once home to a notable Bronx family. Emergency workers performed CPR on one of the victims.

TUES, SEPT. 8th, 5:10 p.m. – 2875 Buhre Ave. A motorist was arrested after confronting an on duty traffic agent. The motorist is charged with knocking a piece of equipment that is used to issue summons out of the officer’s hand.

FRI, SEPT. 11th, 9:15 p.m. – 103 Bay St. Police removed two weapons from the home of a 54 year old man. Taken from the City Island location was a rifle and a 12-gague shotgun. The weapons were vouched for future court use.

46th PCT.

SUN, SEPT. 6th, 12:40 a.m. – 1695 Walton Ave. Authorities are looking into the death of a black woman. The victim’s body was found in a garbage bag and has been deemed to be a homicide. The body was released to the Medical Examiner’s Office so that an autopsy could be performed.

THURS, SEPT. 10th, 9:40 p.m. – West Tremont Ave. and Sedgwick Ave. The staff at St. Barnabas Hospital treated a black male who has been injured by a bullet. The male victim was grazed by a bullet fired by an unidentified person. The victim received a wound to the left shoulder.

FRI, SEPT. 11th,, 10:40 a.m. – 2175 Walton Ave. Local police officers summoned experts from the Emergency Service Division to the fire station housing Engine 75, Tower Ladder 33, and Battalion 19. A suspicious package was found in front of the firehouse door causing the station to be evacuated. The package was examined and deemed to be safe after a two hour period.

47th PCT.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 2:15 a.m. – Laconia Ave. a teenager ended up in jail after he was arrested. Police officers however removed an unlicensed handgun from the 17 black male’s possession. Recovered was a 32-caliber revolver.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 4:35 a.m. – Barnes Ave. and East 228 St. Seven persons were arrested as police took two more handguns off the local streets of Wakefield community. Removed with the arrest was a 380-caliber semi-automatic pistol besides a 25-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

WED, SEPT. 9th, 5:45 a.m. – 3100 Eastchester Rd. Emergency units came to the aid of a 17 year old black female. The young girl was slashed in the arm besides the face. The staff at Jacobi Medical Center assisted the injured teen. Within four days, a suspect was attested and also charged with taking the victim’s I-POD.

SAT, SEPT. 12th, 12:00 p.m. – 1215 East 233 St. A black male attempted to rob a local bank in the Wakefield community. The male culprit passed a note to a teller. The culprit was given a stack of twenty dollar bills which were later on recovered by arresting police officers from the Anti-Crime Unit.

SUN, SEPT. 13th, 12:25 p.m. – Adee and Cruger Aves. A teenage girl was injured in a cross-fire incident. Two black males fired a gun at each other. One of the bullets damaged a residential building’s window. A 19 year old girl was injured by the shattered glass. Additional police officers were dispatched into the area to help search for the two culprits. Evidence was found at the crime scene by investigators.

48th PCT.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 2:25 a.m. – 1997 Bathgate Ave. A 27 year old Hispanic male ended up in trouble with local police officers. The Latino man was in possession of a 380-caliber semi-automatic pistol when he was arrested.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 12:45 p.m. – 1920 Washington Ave. A 24 year old woman was arrested after she apparently assaulted two police officers. The officers were forced to use mace on the woman as a way to gain control over her. Two police officers were treated at St. Barnabas Hospital for various injuries.

SUN, SEPT. 6th, 2:10 a.m. – Arthur Ave. and East 188 St. A teenage male ended up being arrested by undercover police officers. The teen was found to be in possession of a handgun. Recovered by members of the Bronx Anti-crime Unit was a 380-caliber pistol.

WED, SEPT. 9th, 12:50 a.m. – 1960 Bathgate Ave. Authorities are looking into the actions of a Hispanic male. The male was found inside a commercial premise that was closed.

SAT, SEPT. 12th, 3:45 a.m. – 795 Garden St. Authorities are looking into a suicide attempt. Apparently a 31 year old Hispanic male attempted to take his own life. The man tried to hang himself from a third floor staircase. The rope that the man was using broke. He fell three floors to the lobby below. Emergency Medical Techs rushed the man to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was reported to be in serious condition.

SUN, SEPT. 13th,, 3:30 p.m. – 2501 Hoffman St. Police officers were dispatched to a building in the Belmont section after a 26 year old man made a suicide attempt. The Latino man jumped from the building’s roof, but was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital where he expired some 30 minutes later.

49th PCT.

SAT, SEPT. 5th, 9:00 p.m. – 2546 Hone Ave. A 99 year old woman required medical attention after being a victim of a home invasion. The unknown culprit entered the home via the rear door. The culprit held the woman down before fleeing with her purse. The woman was treated for a laceration. Local detectives will conduct the inquiry.

SAT, SEPT. 12th, 1:00 a.m. – 1210 Burke Ave. A Hispanic man was reported to be in critical condition. The man was the victim of a vicious attack that included him being struck with a bat besides possibly being ran-over by a vehicle. Anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact investigators.

50th PCT.

MON, SEPT. 7th, 7:05 p.m. – Manhattan College Pkwy. and Post Rd. A black male teenager was arrested by local police officers after found with a gun. The 17 year old boy was in possession of a 22-caliber revolver when he was arrested.

52nd PCT.

WED, SEPT. 9th, 9:45 p.m. – 2627 Marion Ave. Authorities are looking for witnesses to a stabbing. A 27 year old Hispanic male was stabbed once in the hip area. He was transported to Jacobi Medical Center where he was treated for the wound. Detectives are trying to locate possible witnesses to the incident who can shed any light upon what happened.

FRI, SEPT. 11th, 2:05 p.m. – Hull Ave. and Mosholu Pkwy. Four suspects were arrested when one of them was found in possession of a 22-caliber revolver. The weapon was vouched for future court used.

Transit

SUN, SEPT. 13th, 10:55 p.m. – Paulding Ave. and Morris Park Ave. Authorities are looking into the death of a 29 year old Hispanic male. The man was struck and killed by an IRT # 5 train. Detectives from the 49th Pct. Squad are working with police officers from Transit District # 12 on the inquiry.

Fire Log

FRI, SEPT. 11th, 2:38 a.m. – 785 East 139 St. Fire fighters battled a suspicious fire that damaged an auto-body shop. Fire Marshals were summoned to the scene in order to initiate an inquiry after a source of the fire could not be established. Ambulance personnel treated three injured firefighters.
