Police are searching for a 15-year-old girl who went missing from her Castle Hill home last week in the 43rd Precinct.
Shantia Brown was last seen at her residence on Howe Avenue at about 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 15 wearing all dark clothing, according to the NYPD.
Police describe the teen as as 5 foot 5 inches tall and weighing approximately 180 pounds.
Police sources have also indicated that Brown has had a chronic history of running away from home.
The NYPD also said there was not a reported history of criminal domestic issues in her family.
