More than 200 pre-school to high school students with visual impairments, emotional challenges and developmental delays flexed their scientific muscles to proudly showcase ‘Healthy Nutrition’ themed science experiments at the New York Institute for Special Education’s 15th annual science fair on Wednesday, April 5 in the school’s gymnasium.

Experiments tested hypotheses using everything from spinach and sugar to gummy bears and Diet Coke with such diverse titles as ‘The Effect of Soda on Teeth’, ‘Gummy Bear Osmosis’, ‘French Fries Digestion’, ‘Skeletal Health’ and ‘How Much Sugar is in That?’.
