New Throggs Neck cafe offering regular entertainment

The Alley Cat Cafe recently opened in Throggs Neck offering an extensive menu of tastefully-prepared comfort food.

The cafe, located at 3604 E. Tremont Avenue, is tucked away 75 feet from the bustling thoroughfare. It also offers a large secluded and tranquil outdoor eating area.

Lunch and dinner is available seven days a week. On weekends the cafe presents entertainment. Louie ‘Scoops’ Vanaria and Boomerang launch the season’s first two shows on Friday, June 13 and Saturday, June 14 respectively.

The following week features Gene DiNapoli’s oldies show, with special guest Joey Dee of the Starlighters on Friday, June 20 and The Many Voices Of Dennis Dell on Saturday, June 21.

Then the popular Belaires perform on Saturday, June 28 and on Friday, July 4 the cafe presents a backyard BBQ with the explosive voices of Twin Gold.

All shows start at 8 pm and include a minimum food and beverage requirement. Call (718) 824-0168 for reservations and more details.

Every Wednesday an After Work All-You-Can-Eat BBQ is held from 6 pm to 10pm for $14.95 per person featuring the sound of DJ Bobby ‘Flowers’ in the cafe’s backyard. On Monday, Tuesday and Thursday free live music is provided from 9 pm to midnight. A Sunday Brunch will start in late July.
