The inaugural ‘NYC Mothers Flo Award honoring Mompreneurs – Women in Film and Media Edition’ was hosted by Rhina Valentin on Wednesday, March 1 at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. Presented by La Reina del Barrio, the event honored Evette Rios, Lifetime TV’s ‘The Way Home’ host; April Hernandez-Castillo, ‘Your Voice, Your Choice’ author; Shirley Rodriguez, Create the Remarkable partner and creative director and Veronica Caicedo, Caicedo Productions, International Puerto Rican Heritage Film Festival and the One Festival founder.
