Morgan Powell Memorial Service

On Saturday, May 9, a funeral service for the late Bronx historian and activist Morgan Powell was held inside Woolworth Chapel at Woodlawn Cemetery. Approximately 25 people, including members of Powell’s family, were in attendance to pay their respects. This memorial event fulfilled Powell’s dream of being buried at Woodlawn Cemetery which he cited as one of his favorite places due to its beautiful landscape.
