Man robs south Bronx cell phone store employee of $15,000, attacks him with a chair

Police are looking for a man who robbed a Metro PCS store employee of thousands while also striking him with a chair in the south Bronx.

The man reportedly told the worker that he was in possession of a gun and demanded that the 29-year-old victim turn over his bag containing $15,000, a laptop and wallet inside the 3221 Third Ave. store at about 12:40 a.m. on Wednesday, July 1.

After the employee refused, the man struck him with a chair, attempting to press him against a back wall to have him turn over the bag.

The NYPD reported that the victim sustained minor injuries from the attack however refused medical attention.

This footage of the attack was released by police.
